JBR Roofing is a family run business which was established in 1987 by Nelson and Yvonne Mitchell. Brian joined the company after leaving school, then attended a 4 year apprenticeship for roof slating and tiling at Lauder College. Neil joined the company in 1997, also attending Lauder College for 4 years.
Since then both Brian and Neil have added to their skills over the years by gaining a diploma in business and accreditations in Firestone EDPM rubber cover, Sarnafil approved contractors, qualified lead welding contractors, and qualified scaffolders. Both Brian and Neil have also trained as company first aiders, and are CHAS approved health and safety contractors. Both hold CSCS gold roofing cards and CSCS black management cards. They are Heritage roof approved.
This company is a member of FMB and NFRC, and are Trading Standard Approved – Buy With Confidence tradesmen.
The family believe in high quality material and workmanship, which was instilled into Brian and Neil from the start by Nelson senior! That is how today they have a great work ethic and give wonderful customer service. As they have a great rapport with clients, our customers return again and again while recommending the company to friends and family.
Due to our continued growth this company is now training two young apprentices who are attending college to become fully qualified tradesmen, in keeping with the very high standards within the company. They will also benefit from the knowledge which Brian and Neil have gained from their combined 40+ years in the business. We will continue with this practice as JBR Roofing grows.
A recent and innovative technique is being funded partly by CITB, & JBR. It is being put into practice by Dr Yvonne Mitchell life coach, for the apprentices and occasionally other staff members. Yvonne is going to use her extensive knowledge to incorporate life coaching to a growing business.
